DICCI Privacy Policy

Version PP-4.0-2026-09-09 · Effective 9 September 2026

P1. Who we are and what this policy covers

DICCI is an Egyptian individually owned business based in Cairo, Egypt. In this policy, “DICCI”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of the DICCI mobile application, website and related services.

This policy explains what personal data DICCI collects, how and why we use it, when it is shared, how long it is kept, and the choices available to you. It applies to the DICCI iOS application, dicci.ai, our waitlist, customer support, and related communications.

P2. Data we collect

Depending on how you use DICCI, we may collect the following categories.

P2.1. Account and contact data

  • Your email address, display name and authentication information.
  • Account identifiers, session information, account status, consent and policy-acceptance records.
  • Messages you send to support and information you submit through a waitlist or contact form.

We do not receive or store your Apple ID password. Authentication credentials are handled through our authentication service.

P2.2. Profile and style preferences

  • Language, style and taste preferences.
  • Figure-presentation selection, coverage or modesty preferences, and similar choices you provide.
  • Occasion, season, weather or planning preferences when you choose to provide them.

These are styling inputs. DICCI does not treat a figure-presentation choice as a declaration of your gender and does not use it to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

P2.3. Wardrobe and image data

  • Garment photographs that you select from your photo library or capture with your camera.
  • Garment names, categories, colours, tags, notes, image derivatives and other wardrobe details.
  • Links between your own wardrobe items and DICCI catalogue items that you choose to add.

Your wardrobe is associated with your account so it can be available across supported sessions and devices. A photo can contain information visible in the image or its metadata; avoid including people, addresses, documents or other information that is not needed to identify the garment.

P2.4. Outfit, planning and usage data

  • Outfit recommendations, saved looks, swaps, plans, wear history and feedback.
  • Your actions in the app, such as adding an item, requesting a recommendation, selecting “See the full look”, saving, planning or marking an outfit as worn.
  • Generated-image request status, approved input references, output references, reuse status and operational cost records. These records help prevent duplicate paid requests and investigate failures.

P2.5. Device, network and diagnostic data

  • An app-scoped device identifier, app version, build number, language and operating-system details.
  • IP address and ordinary server request information when your device communicates with our systems.
  • Crash reports, performance data, error logs and diagnostic breadcrumbs.
  • First-party product-usage events used to understand reliability and improve DICCI.

DICCI does not use this data for third-party advertising or to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

P2.6. Public sharing data

If you expressly choose a sharing feature, DICCI may create a public snapshot of the outfit and the limited information shown in the sharing preview. Do not share an outfit if its visible content reveals information you want to keep private. You can withdraw a share through the available customer path; withdrawal stops new public access, although copies already saved by another person may remain outside DICCI’s control.

P3. How we collect data

We collect data:

  • directly from you when you create an account, choose preferences, upload content, request a feature, contact support or join the waitlist;
  • automatically when the app or website communicates with our services; and
  • from service providers that process an action for us, such as an authentication, email, analytics, diagnostic or optional AI request.

We do not buy personal data from data brokers.

P4. Why we use data

We use personal data to:

  • create, authenticate, secure and support your account;
  • store and organise your wardrobe;
  • produce styling recommendations, outfit plans and wear history;
  • provide optional garment tagging and full-look image features that you choose to use;
  • remember your language, accessibility and product preferences;
  • deliver service messages and waitlist communications you requested;
  • respond to support, privacy, export and deletion requests;
  • detect abuse, protect accounts, troubleshoot errors and maintain service integrity;
  • measure performance and improve usability; and
  • comply with law and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Where applicable, we rely on the need to provide the service you request, your consent for optional processing, DICCI’s legitimate operational and security interests where permitted, and legal obligations. You may withdraw an optional consent at any time. Withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful, and it may make the related optional feature unavailable.

P5. Camera, photo library and notifications

DICCI asks for an iOS permission only when the related feature needs it.

  • Camera: used when you choose to photograph a garment.
  • Photo library: used when you choose a garment image. DICCI receives the media you select or otherwise permit through iOS; it does not need unrelated photos to provide the wardrobe feature.
  • Notifications: used only if you permit them, for reminders or service information described in the permission prompt and app settings.

You can change iOS permissions in Settings. You can still add garment details manually when an optional analysis feature is declined or unavailable, although denying camera or photo access may prevent that particular capture method.

P6. Artificial-intelligence features

DICCI uses third-party AI only for a feature you deliberately request and under the boundaries below. Accepting the general Terms is not treated as permission for an optional AI data transfer.

P6.1. Optional garment analysis using Google Gemini

When you select Analyse with DICCI and give the required permission, DICCI may send the garment image you selected and a minimised instruction to Google’s Gemini API so that suggested attributes such as category or colour can be returned. We do not send the image merely because you opened a screen or saved a garment without analysis. You can decline and enter details manually.

DICCI stores the garment and accepted tagging result in your account. We instruct the provider to process this material only to provide the requested service and use paid API arrangements rather than consumer AI products. Provider operational and security logs may be retained for limited periods under the applicable service terms and safeguards.

P6.2. Optional “See the full look” image using Pruna

The launch version of the full-look feature does not send your private wardrobe photographs or a photo of your body or face to Pruna. After you make the separate full-look choice and press See the full look, DICCI may send only:

  • the exact reviewed DICCI-owned catalogue garment image files approved for this purpose; and
  • a DICCI-owned house mannequin selected from your figure-presentation choice.

DICCI does not include your name, email address or account identifier in that provider payload. The generated result is returned to DICCI and may be stored and reused for the same eligible outfit so a second view does not require another provider request. DICCI keeps the real garment board available when the feature is unavailable, refused or unsuccessful.

Pruna processes the approved inputs and output only as DICCI’s service provider. DICCI does not authorise the provider to use them to train unrelated models. If DICCI cannot maintain the stated asset, contractual or technical safeguards, this feature must remain disabled.

P6.3. AI limitations

AI-generated tags, recommendations and images can be incomplete or inaccurate. They are styling assistance, not a factual guarantee, professional advice, or a decision producing legal or similarly significant effects. You can correct garment information and decide whether to follow a suggestion.

P7. When we share data

DICCI does not sell personal data, share it with data brokers, or use it for third-party targeted advertising. We share data only as described here:

Recipient or servicePurpose and data involved
SupabaseAccount authentication, database and file storage for profile, wardrobe, outfit and related service data.
VercelHosting dicci.ai and server-side service routes and scheduled jobs. Ordinary request data may be processed in server logs.
ResendSending requested waitlist and service emails. DICCI configures customer communications without advertising tracking.
SentryCrash, error and performance diagnostics needed to keep the app reliable.
PostHogFirst-party product analytics used to understand feature use and usability, not advertising or cross-app tracking.
Google GeminiOptional garment-image analysis only when requested as described in P6.1.
PrunaOptional full-look generation using only the approved DICCI-owned inputs described in P6.2.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect a person or the service, investigate fraud or abuse, or establish or defend legal claims. If DICCI is reorganised or transferred, relevant data may be transferred with the service subject to this policy and applicable law. We do not give a buyer broader rights than DICCI had.

P8. International processing

Some service providers may process data outside Egypt. Where this occurs, DICCI requires providers to process data only for the contracted purpose and applies contractual, technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the data and applicable law. Optional AI transfers occur only after the feature-specific action and permission described above.

P9. Retention

We keep data only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes in this policy:

  • Account, profile, preferences, wardrobe, outfits and wear history: while your account is active, unless you delete an item earlier or retention is required for a legal or security reason.
  • Garment images and derivatives: until you delete the garment or account, subject to limited backup and integrity periods.
  • Generated full-look outputs: while needed to display or reuse the relevant outfit, until the outfit, output or account is deleted, subject to limited backup and integrity periods.
  • Consent and policy records: while needed to honour your choices and demonstrate the version and permission that applied.
  • Waitlist data: until you unsubscribe, ask us to remove it, or the waitlist purpose ends.
  • Support, security, diagnostic and delivery logs: for a limited period necessary to respond, investigate, prevent abuse, maintain the service and meet legal obligations.
  • Provider processing copies: for the limited operational and security periods permitted by the provider arrangement. DICCI does not authorise retention for unrelated model training.

Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove encrypted backup copies. Backups are protected, are not restored for ordinary use, and are deleted or overwritten on the applicable backup cycle. DICCI may retain a minimal pseudonymised audit record where needed to prove a deletion, protect the service or comply with law; it is not used to recreate your account.

P10. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • access and export the personal data available through your account;
  • correct your profile and wardrobe information;
  • delete individual garments, outfits or other content;
  • withdraw an optional AI consent without withdrawing unrelated choices;
  • change camera, photo and notification permissions in iOS Settings;
  • unsubscribe from marketing or waitlist email using the message link or by contacting us;
  • object to or request restriction of certain processing where applicable; and
  • request deletion of your account.

You can use the controls in DICCI or email support@dicci.ai. We may need to verify that the request concerns your account. We will not ask you to send your password by email.

P11. Account deletion

You can initiate account deletion inside DICCI through the account or privacy settings. The app asks you to confirm your identity. DICCI provides a seven-day grace period during which the request may be cancelled through your authenticated account. After that period, DICCI deletes the account and associated customer data from active systems, subject to the limited backup, security, audit and legal exceptions described in P9.

If you cannot access the app, contact support@dicci.ai. Removing the app from your iPhone does not itself delete your DICCI account.

P12. Security

DICCI uses access controls, encrypted network connections, row- and object-level separation, restricted service credentials, logging and other reasonable safeguards designed to protect data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Please use a strong, unique password, protect your device and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised account access.

P13. Age requirement

DICCI is intended for people aged 18 or older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from a person under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact support@dicci.ai so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

P14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the service, providers or law changes. We will publish the new version and effective date. If a change materially expands how personal data is used, DICCI will provide an appropriate notice and obtain renewed acknowledgement or consent where required. A general policy update will not silently enable a new optional AI use.

P15. Contact and complaints

DICCI is the controller responsible for the processing described in this policy. For privacy questions, requests or complaints, contact:

DICCI Egyptian individually owned business based in Cairo, Egypt Email: support@dicci.ai

You may also raise a complaint with the competent Egyptian data-protection authority or another authority available to you under applicable law. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the concern promptly.
